Vortex Rok is a high quality low
cost engine
ROK is a reed valve Vortex engine
125cc, single-cylinder 2 stroke with
reed admission in the crankcase. It
needs oil-in fuel lubrication and it
is liquid-cooled with an integrated
water pump. It has a digital
ignition and an integrated electric
starter. It is provided with a
balance shaft, which deadens the
vibrations. A centrifugal dry clutch
makes it possible to keep the engine
on even when the kart is still. With
almost 30 HP, lap times are about a
second slower than the ICA engines.
Engines need to be serviced after
around 35-50 running hours. The Rok
motor accommodates all drivers,
ranging from Junior to Senior. A
Junior exhaust pipe is available to
restrict power for all non-Senior
classes.
